CODE_n CONTEST: start-ups have two more weeks to submit their application

11/24/2014  |  News | Trends

Dec 14 – this is the deadline for start-ups to scrawl in big and bold red letters in their scheduler. Why? Because it’s the deadline for sending off their application for the CODE_n CONTEST. We’ve added two extra weeks to the deadline in response to requests from lots of applicants for an extension to the application cut-off date. Until now, we’ve received entries from start-ups from more than 40 countries. In 2014 we received applications from over 450 start-up companies.

The competition is certainly hotting up this year, but for the 50 finalists it will be worth every effort because we’ll be inviting the Top 50 to join us at CeBIT. The package they’ll win: their own trade fair stand in what has to be the most spectacular hall at CeBIT – five whole days to get to know plenty of potential customers, business partners, investors and journalists. For the overall winner, the prize money is an additional €30,000.

Finally, a tip or two on submitting your application: start-ups need to note that this is a written pitch. So we need a short and succinct sentence on your USP, a big and convincing message about how you plan to help shape the Internet of Things, perhaps a short video that sums up your business model. This will improve your chances of joining us at the big event, which takes place from 16 to 20 March next year in Hanover – where the whole of Hall 16 will by saying ‘Into the Internet of Things’.
