Berlin’s urban bohemian lifestyle, cheap rents, and abundant creative talent foster the perfect environment for tech startups as well as established companies. In Prenzlauer Berg (Berlin’s tech neighborhood) alone, you’ll find home to SoundCloud, Wooga, 6Wunderkinder, Toast and Mozilla. In 2011, internet transactions contributed to 3.2% of Berlin’s GDP, showcasing Berlin’s potential to become a major technology and innovation destination.
